Grade scale

What each grade means

Section titled “A+ (95-100)”Your site has all the signals AI engines look for. llms.txt is well-structured, schema markup is comprehensive, content is organized for AI consumption, and all crawlers have access. You’re among the best-optimized sites.
A (85-94)
Section titled “A (85-94)”Strong across all dimensions. Minor improvements possible (perhaps a missing FAQ schema or incomplete meta descriptions) but AI engines can find and cite your content effectively.
B (70-84)
Section titled “B (70-84)”Good foundation. You likely have some schema markup and decent content structure, but may be missing llms.txt, FAQ markup, or citation anchors. Focus on high-weight dimensions for the biggest gains.
C (55-69)
Section titled “C (55-69)”Basics are in place but significant gaps exist. Common pattern: decent content structure and meta descriptions, but no llms.txt, incomplete schema markup, and missing AI crawler directives. A focused effort can push you to B quickly.
D (40-54)
Section titled “D (40-54)”Your site has some positive signals but AI engines will struggle. Likely missing most specialized files (llms.txt, FAQ blocks, citation anchors) and may have limited schema markup. Start with the quick start guide to identify the biggest wins.
F (0-39)
Section titled “F (0-39)”Your site is effectively invisible to AI engines. This is common for sites that haven’t considered AI visibility at all. The good news: deploying AEOrank’s generated files typically jumps you 20-40 points immediately.
